Celebrate the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef with the limited-run and true-to-life Dugong Brooch, a dazzling nod to the reef’s extraordinary biodiversity. Ideal for ocean lovers and collectors alike, this brooch has been handcrafted from layered resin with etched, painted, and printed details. Known widely for its diet consisting exclusively of seagrass, the Dugong has particular significance for veggie lovers, vegans and plant-based diet enthusiasts. 75mm x 55mm (H x W) DESIGN STORY The grass is greener underwater, at least for me! I spend my days chowing down on seagrass, turning the ocean floor into my personal salad bar. Info Each piece is made from laser-cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all Erstwilder designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand, there can be very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in our designs, it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are. Brooch clasps are made with a 100% stainless steel pin and plated brass screws. Earrings hooks are made from high quality, hypoallergenic stainless steel. Earring posts are made from high quality, hypoallergenic stainless steel or silver-plated brass. Please note, components change over time and may be made with other materials. If you have any specific design questions, please email the team at [email protected] Brooch, Necklace and Earring designs come packaged in Erstwilder gift boxes. Care Please be aware that resin is akin to ceramic and glass and therefore may be damaged if dropped or knocked. Due to the use of high quality silver-plating in our brooch clasps, tarnishing and oxidisation can occur, producing a black and gold discolouration. As with all silver products, you can simply restore it using a silver cloth. Keep your Erstwilder companion neatly tucked away in this box when not being worn, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, water, and excessive sunlight and you’ll have a trusted friend for years to come.
