Original vintage movie poster for the French release of the classic American animated film Dumbo in 1947, the fourth feature length cartoon produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures, based on the story by Helen Aberson and illustrated by Harold Pearl. Great black and white illustration by the notable French cartoonist Albert Dubout (1905-1976) announcing the release of the film for Christmas and New Year featuring Dumbo the elephant and a crow flying over the streets of Paris with a crowd of people below desperately waiting to see the film and watching a parade of five men carrying placards with the letters of the word Dumbo on them, the Eiffel Tower visible in the background and the text above. Horizontal. Very good condition, restored fold on top right corner, backed on linen.
