Dumping Day marks the start of the lobster fishing season. This painting captures the lobster boats at dock at the government wharf in Fox Point, Nova Scotia. It is a major industr y in the province, and has also been an important part of my life. My family has owned and operated a restaurant serving traditional lobster suppers since 1946 and these little crustaceans have shaped a lot of who I am today.
