Itajime is an ancient craft hailing from Japan in the 8th century. This modern fresh design is so versitle. Pair with a dress pants or jeans. A one-size robe crafted to flow and ha ng loosely, folded cuff on each mid-length sleeve. This style crafted from luxurious habutai silk, which has a liquid drape and flow. Each piece is individually folded, clamped, dyed and re-dyed by hand by two of India's foremost Master Artisans. Itajime is one technique of shibori which uses pieces of wood clamped together around sections of folded fabric to resist the dye in particular shapes. Material & Care: 100% silk.
