The Cosmic is built around a useful balance: enough width and deck stability to make wave SUP realistic, but enough outline curve and tail response to keep the board lively once you are on the wave. FAQs Is the Duotone Cosmic good for beginners? The Cosmic is not a first-time paddleboard for flat water. It is aimed at paddlers who want to SUP surf. That said, the wider outline and stable deck make it more accessible than many very narrow performance surf SUPs, so it can work well for improving wave riders. What is the main difference between the Cosmic and Cosmic SLS? The Cosmic uses Custom CNC construction and a 2+1 thruster fin setup. The Cosmic SLS is the premium version, with a lighter Full Custom SLS construction and a 4+1 fin box system that allows more tuning options, including thruster, quad, twin and twin plus trailer setups.
