Dupical is an incredibly powerful and transparent muguet aldehyde. It carries the fresh, green, slightly watery character of lily-of-the-valley petals without the heavy indolic side. Underneath the floral top sits a light marine-aldehydic quality that keeps the whole thing airy. But be warned: a trace is very perceptible. This is one of the most overpowering lily chemicals you'll experience. Use it to reinforce muguet accords where Lilial, Lyral or Florol feel too heavy or too sweet. A small amount gives lift and watery freshness to fresh floral compositions, cologne structures and marine-floral accords. It also pulls back the waxy thickness of hydroxycitronellal. Pair with Lyral, Florol and hydroxycitronellal to build a lily-of-the-valley heart, or use against citrus and green notes in cologne tops. A trace in aquatic accords reinforces the watery character. Dose it low — overdose flattens subtler materials around it. Something important to note with Dupical is that it can be perceived as a very dense note — so while it does have a watery odour quality, it benefits from opening up with an ozonic or freshie like floralozone. This is a material that, in traces, can represent your entire muguet note, preventing the need for bulk additions of the classics like florol and hydroxycitronellal.
