The quick release top has been done by many companies, and surprisingly, we've not had one from DW yet. It's obvious that a lot of work went into this one because they completely n ailed it withe SM2346. The nut has a mechanism that is spring loaded, so if you want to treat it like an old-fashioned wingnut, you can. But if you squeeze it, it pops right off. It includes an integrated top cymbal felt with nylon washer, and will work with DW STANDS WITH AN ADJUSTABLE CYMBAL SEAT ONLY. Show more
