The Filefish (Aluterus scriptus) is a unique and fascinating saltwater fish known for its laterally compressed body, elongated snout, and rough, sandpapery skin. Native to tropical and subtropical reefs worldwide, Filefish are peaceful but curious, thriving in well-established aquariums of 50 gallons or more with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding.
