DYGL's fifth album. After the musical journey of their first four albums, this is a complete turning point, returning to their roots and stepping into a completely new realm. All tracks were recorded without a metronome, with all instruments recorded simultaneously in one take, aiming for freedom from the grid and a more lively feel. The album has a raw approach, and the whole album feels like a set list for a single live performance, with a renewed focus on music as a physical encounter and experience after the COVID-19 pandemic. Although this is their fifth album, all the members unanimously refer to it as their first album, marking the first chapter of a new DYGL. The random encounters with music that were cultivated in the island nation of Japan and the city of Tokyo seem to have been set against the backdrop of Japanese magazine culture. This woven tapestry has come to fruition in DYGL's music. It's a new framework that connects their previous albums with their future ones. The recording, mixing and mastering were handled by Stephanie "Slozzaa" Loza, an LA-based engineer who has worked with Remi Wolf, Duckwrth, and Masego.
