Weighing in at a beefy, RTF, 42lbs and having been clocked at over 480 mph, the DS 130 is a world class DS glider. Dynamic 130″ Top recorded speed so far is over 500 mph! At 500+ mph the aerodynamic and G loads on the airframe are considerable. In order to tolerate the high stresses, the airframe has to be robustly constructed and at over 40 lbs. there is enough composite material in one of these planes to build several "normal" slopers. Owning and flying one of these ships is a privilege and in a class all its own.
