Description The Dynamics is a 23cm cylindrical wall light with vertical fluting cast into a matte gold aluminium body, housing two GU10 bulb fittings that project light upwards and downwards. The fluted profile runs the full height of the cylinder and gives the aluminium surface a tactile, architectural presence that catches and diffuses light differently depending on the viewing angle. Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and living rooms where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Dynamics casts two cones of light that wash across the wall surface above and below the fitting. The up-down configuration avoids glare at eye level while providing enough ambient output to navigate a corridor or accent a feature wall. The 10.6cm length and 6cm diameter keep the fitting compact against the wall, suitable for narrower hallways where a larger sconce would intrude into the walking space. The matte gold finish on the aluminium softens reflections and gives a warmer tone than polished brass or chrome, pairing comfortably with warm whites, greys and wood tones in contemporary interiors. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations only and accepts two GU10 bulbs up to 50W combined output, allowing users to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs depending on the light colour and brightness required. The vertical fluting on the cylinder also acts as passive cooling, dissipating heat from higher-wattage halogen bulbs if used. The Dynamics takes two GU10 bulbs with a combined maximum load of 50W. Most users fit two 5-7W LED GU10s in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting. Bulbs are sold separately. Can it be used in bathrooms? No. The IP20 rating means this fitting is only suitable for indoor dry locations. It is not rated for bathroom zones or any area where it may be exposed to moisture or steam. How far does the light project up and down the wall? This depends on the bulb wattage and beam angle. A typical 5W GU10 LED with a 38-degree beam will project approximately 80-100cm of visible wash above and below the fitting on a light-coloured wall. Wider beam angles or higher wattages increase this spread. What fixing method does it use? The Dynamics mounts via a standard wall plate fixed to the wall with screws and plugs. The backplate is concealed once the cylindrical body is installed. Wiring connects behind the backplate to the mains supply. See the product manual in the Downloads tab for full installation guidance.
