Casa Américo is a family-owned wine estate from Portugal’s Dão region, dedicated to expressing the elegance and authenticity of this historic terroir. Working with old vines and na tive grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro, the estate combines sustainable viticulture with minimal-intervention winemaking. The result is a refined range of wines that balance freshness, structure, and a true sense of place. TASTING NOTES Intense ruby colour. Harmonious aroma with notes of wild berries and spices. The palate is intensed and muscled, balanced with a long and peppery finished. FOOD PAIRINGS Touriga Nacional from Casa Américo pairs excellently with rich, flavourful dishes that match its depth and structure. It is ideal with grilled or roasted red meats such as beef, lamb, and game, as well as slow-cooked stews and braised dishes. The wine’s floral notes and firm tannins also complement hard and aged cheeses, smoked meats, and dishes seasoned with herbs, black pepper, and olive oil. For a vegetarian option, pair with aubergine dishes, black lentils, or mushroom-based recipes. SERVING SUGGESTIONS Best enjoyed at 17°C.
