From the Buffalo Trace whiskey distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky comes one of the most consistently delicious whiskeys to be exported to Australia. As a founding father of the Bourbon industry after the American Civil War, Colonel Taylor has his name on centuries old houses within the distillery - as well as a range of Taylor whiskeys to honour his contribution to this artform. You can expect all of the signature Bourbon hallmarks here in droves; sweet caramel and spice on the nose, with a full, butterscotch and liquorice palate - followed by a spicy, peppery oak finish. One to put up on the shelf for when you need to remind your palate what a classic Bourbon tastes like. These bottles are highly collectible, from an era when they were only released on allocation, before Buffalo Trace massively increased production of this label. Blended from a much smaller pool of selected barrels and released at a time when E.H. Taylor was still aged exclusively in the legacy Buffalo Trace warehouses.
