The Tracer Tactical Enhanced - Modular Body Armor Vest, heavily inspired by the venerable Crye Precision LV-MBAV, is a scalable plate carrier that can be used in covert or overt applications. Designed to be lightweight, comfortable, and modular. Features: Plate bags: The E-MBAV's plate bags are interchangeable with a host of other carriers, namely our TIC/TAC/TOW line and the Spiritus LV-119. Like the LV-MBAV, the two internal armor pockets allow the user to run ballistic plates in conjunction with soft armor inserts. The taper of both the front and rear plate bags allow the use of either Velocity Systems MBAV Soft Armor Inserts or standard SAPI inserts. In addition, we’ve teamed up with TAC 11 Armor to provide us with MBAV soft armor inserts for the E-MBAV. Integrated placard mounting tabs and Velcro loop on the cummerbund's exterior enable users to run any placard they wish. Cummerbund: The E-MBAV is offered with two styles of cummerbund, both closely resembling older Crye designs; the triple band elastic and JTAC radio/side armor compatible elastic cummerbund styles. The JTAC radio cummerbund is available for purchase separately (to be used with your old LV-MBAV or most every other carrier on the market) and includes two MOLLE radio pouches and side armor bags constructed from Tweave (SAM1/FLEX) stretch woven fabric. They are designed to mimic the function and aesthetic of the Crye JTAC style radio cummerbund while being removable. The MOLLE side armor plate bags fit 6x6” Hard Plates, as well as 6x9” soft armor inserts. Separate pouches keep both options secure and the 6x6” plates centered. This modularity enables the user to configure the cummerbund according to their preference or desired function.
