E1624; 1945 Beach Tops in four styles 14-piece pattern originally by Simplicity Pattern Co., 'Style I, fitted with darts, buttons in front and has a low, shaped neckline. Style II is gathered at the sides and center front. The shoulder straps join to the sides and band goes around the lower edge and ties in back. In Style III, a strap is inserted through the casing, goes around the neck and ties at the center front. In Style IV, the upper section is fitted with darts. Tie ends join to the lower section and fasten in back. Straps joined to the upper edge tie at the back of the neck.' ¾” seam allowance is given at shoulder and underarm (side) seams to permit alteration. ½” is allowed on all other edges.
