Coated vs. Non-Coated The coated shower screens have a protective nanotech coating which helps to eliminate coffee oil / residue and build up, and makes cleaning much easier. However, this coating will break down overtime during back flushing (using detergent such as FCL500 so we advise you to remove it and replace it with a standard shower screen when performing your routine maintenance.
