We're huge fans of the E9x M3 platform, to us the S65 is one of the finest engines BMW M have ever produced. These issues are easily fixed with some preventative maintenance, and we've put together this package of what we think is the 'big three' to keep your S65 healthy and allowing you to continue enjoying the car how it should be. As part of this Preventative Maintenance Package we do the following: Rod Bearing ReplacementRemoval and replacement of the factory rod bearings using only MAHLE Motorsport rod bearing shells and ARP bolts. This service includes replacement sump gasket, oil pickup O-ring, engine mounts, oil filter and Motul oil. Uprated Throttle ActuatorsThe standard BMW Throttle Actuators are known to fail with age. Whilst not a terminal failure like the other 2 in this package it can leave your M3 in limp mode. Our Uprated Throttle Actuators improve upon the factory internals and provide long-term reliability, that we back with a lifetime warranty. VANOS Cover ReplacementInside the S65 engine are VANOS gears, and BMW chose to use plastic covers over these. This material is soft and flexible when new but as age and heat cycles take their toll the covers start cracking, with these making their way through your engine and in the worst case blocking the flow of oil and causing major engine damage. Our Evolve Vanos Covers are made of T6082 aluminium, being machined rather than bent and will not suffer the same fate that the original plastic covers experience.
