The Early Fortune Cucumber is a selection of the now extinct heirloom, "Davis Perfect," first discovered by George Starr of Royal Oak Michigan in 1906. Introduced to the public aro und 1910 by the Jerome B. Rice Seed Company and described at the time as “the earliest and best white spine cucumber ever offered,” Early Fortune produces very heavy yields of 8-inch-long cucumbers with a fresh, crisp flavor.
