Be a Silversmith for a day Workshop- Grab a friend and join me for this workshop and join us at Culburra Beach. This is a beginners workshop. Suitable for Ages 16+ Make a pair of earrings, stacker ring and pendant in this 5.5 hour workshop. A light lunch is included (we cannot cater to special diet needs, should you have special diet needs please byo lunch) NEW VENUE: Appleye Studio- 34 Prince Edward Ave Culburra Beach. You are our guests. Our venue has heating and cooling, but we do suggest you dress in layers for your comfort. We provide tea & coffee and cool water along with a light lunch during the workshop. Good conversation and a friendly encouraging atmosphere. An expert professional in a small group setting, providing you with assistance as required. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: You will learn traditional Silversmith techniques including soldering, sawing, forming, hand texturing and finishing. Each student receives a piece of copper sheet for practice and a piece of silver sheet & wire and findings for the final masterpieces. The pieces you make will be all depend on time and size - We do spend our time focusing on completing at least one main design. Most of your participants have time to finish three pieces over the day. In this workshop you can make pendant, long statement earring, studs , stacking ring- time dependant. You will have access to the many tools on offer in our studio, to create unique pieces, your only limited by your imagination. All materials and safety equipment are included. You will have the option to purchase more materials if needed, but we supply plenty for the duration of the day. Usually participants can take home the piece made on the day, at times we might give some of the completed a final polish for you and post them with in the week, or you can pick up a few days after. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at jewellery making, but couldn't justify the expense of buying all the tools required, then this workshop is for you. This workshop will also suit people who wish to rekindle previously learnt skills again. SAFETY: All safely equipment including a clean work space area is provided. We want everyone to feel comfortable and safe who create with us.. COST: is $500 per person including all materials and the use of our tools and equipment, and a light lunch.
