Once you've experienced yoga, meditation or breathwork on genuine Australian Merino sheepskin, it's difficult to imagine going back. I’m new to yin yoga and breathwork. From the very first class, I didn’t understand why we were all lying cold on the ground on standard mats that never felt truly supportive or comforting—especially in practices that are meant to be deeply calming, grounding and restorative. So I started bringing one of my own beautiful Australian Merino sheepskins from home. Everything changed. That simple layer of natural wool transformed the entire experience—suddenly there was warmth, softness and a sense of ease that made it easier to fully let go into the practice. From there, I thought: why not make this properly? I added a quilted backing plate, creating what is now the Earth Mat. Not only does it make the mat incredibly soft to lie on, it also improves structure, usability and allows the mat to roll up easily so you can carry it anywhere.
