Kopani's East Java is back and better than ever! This is a slightly different lot from our first release, but it doesn't disappoint. This time around we're finding a sweeter, more balanced cup with notes of spiced berry jam, brown sugar vanilla sweetness, and a black tea-like body that ties everything together beautifully. This coffee truly shines through filter brewing methods, producing a clean, crisp, and expressive cup. While we primarily recommend it for pour-over and drip coffee, adventurous coffee drinkers will also enjoy it as a fruit-forward espresso. It pairs surprisingly well with milk, bringing out its jammy sweetness and delicate spice notes. We're excited to have another natural-processed Indonesian coffee back in our lineup. While many coffee drinkers associate Indonesian coffees with the earthy, full-bodied character of traditional wet-hulled processing, this East Java offers a different perspective—highlighting the bright fruit, sweetness, and complexity that Indonesian coffees are equally capable of delivering.
