Did you know that redbuds are also a first nectar sour ce for our pollinators? Plant these small oranmental trees in the shade of giants, though they will tolerate full sun. Moist, well drained soils are preferable, though redbud can tolerate dryer conditions and low-nutrient conditions. We have the best transplant rates with dormant trees, though our air-pruned seedlings can be tucked into a forever home while green and leafy too. Seedling sizes are based on length - redbud has a natural lilt. USDA Fact Sheet Plants are only available for pick up at the nursery, by appointment, and select markets.
