The opposite end is curved, meant to connect directly into the Custom Curve - Beta units. The Alpha unit (male end) is required at the beginning of any Easy Custom Curve run that will not form a complete circle. It is specifically for layouts where water flow needs to be stopped or transitioned into a straight Easy TWO channel.
