Nothing screams ‘spring is in the air' more than a cold glass of lemonade. Lemon is kinda the most versatile fruit out there. It can be used in pies, in salad dressings, on top of fish, or in almost any drink, and it’s even used to lighten your hair color. Blondes sure do know how to have fun! Les Bouquinistes art posters represent the seasons and all things delicious. Inspiration was drawn from old botanical prints purchased from booksellers along the Seine in Paris. We use an overlay method that combines old and new, bringing the yesteryear to the present. The original prints date back to somewhere around 1850 (no we did not deface any originals if that’s what you were wondering). This project features twelve representations of different plants, fruits, or vegetables that each flourishes during a corresponding month in the year somewhere in the world.
