With its innovative adaptive learning technology, this compact and weatherproof device reduces startup current by up to 75%. Enjoy RV'ing in remote areas using a small generator with our EasyStart Breeze to ensure AC comfort. Limited power supply? Not a probelm anymore! In addition, customers can register for an extended warranty for their air conditioner compressor motor when installing EasyStart on an RV Rooftop air conditioner that are six years old or less. Double Down Warranty A closer look Our EasyStart Breeze is NOT a Hard Start or overly expensive Brownout device that other companies offer. The overall size of the IP65 enclosure has been significantly reduced, making it the smallest in the Easystart family of products, including the mount. (Breeze model) Improved startup current reduction and product reliability are a direct result of all-new hardware and software refinement. Our advanced technology and quality controls further increase performance and longevity. Our sophisticated multi-start, one-time, resettable learning algorithm is designed to optimize performance and overall efficiency by reducing the starting amps. Perfect for use with a portable generator. Highly efficient Power Interruption and Brownout protection to prevent potential damage due to immediate restart attempts. Our advanced intelligent short-cycle delay timer provides the necessary delay to any short-cycle restart while preventing unnecessary delay for normal-cycle restarts. This reduces any potential damage and wear and tear on the RV AC, ensuring its longevity. Precise Overcurrent and Stall detection to protect harmful sustained or abrupt low-voltage conditions. It's designed to safeguard your compressor and ensure that your system remains reliable and long-lasting. Trouble Shooting Guides Specifications/NotesEasyStart Breeze Soft Start (ASY-399-X20) Voltage 100 to 125 - VAC 50 - 60 Hz Enclosure: 5.75L x 3.5W x 2.0H in (146L x 88W x 50H mm) Wire Harness: 40 in (1m) IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTE FOR CRUISAIR® MARINE CUSTOMERS ONLY:When installing EasyStart into 220-240V SMX A-288/282/281 control applications that use the triac to switch power to the compressor, it is necessary to replace the triac with a relay. If the triac is not replaced, the EasyStart and any pump relay triggers may suffer damage and ultimately fail. A replacement relay specifically designed for this application is available at this link. Please note that this is not required for 115V SMX applications, and the triac is still safe to use. Frequently Asked Questions From Owners of Travel Trailers and RV's What is an RV AC Soft Starter? A soft start is an electronic device designed to help single-phase motors, such as those used in air conditioners, start smoothly and quietly. By gradually increasing the voltage and current to the motor, a softstart rv device significantly reduces the high inrush current that typically occurs during motor startup. This not only minimizes wear and tear on the motor and associated equipment but also help with noise reduction and vibration. Soft starters are commonly used in various residential and commercial applications, including HVAC systems, pumps, and fans, to ensure a smooth and quiet operation. How the EasyStart Breeze Compares to Other Products The EasyStart Breeze stands out as a one-of-a-kind, UL-listed product specifically designed for RV air conditioners. Unlike other softstart rv products, the EasyStart Breeze is compatible with every RV air conditioner and nearly all marine air conditioning systems. Its portability allows it to be used with portable, medium-sized to small generators, and limited utility power, making it incredibly versatile when shore power is not avaialble. Additionally, the EasyStart Breeze features an integrated mounting flange and a 40” wiring harness, simplifying the installation process on ac units. This unique combination of features makes the EasyStart Breeze a superior choice for RV enthusiasts. How Does EasyStart Breeze Compare to a “Hard Start”? When it comes to starting motors, the traditional “hard start” method and the EasyStart Breeze are worlds apart. A hard start involves applying the full voltage and current to the motor all at once, leading to high inrush currents that can cause significant wear and tear on the motor and associated equipment. This abrupt start can be harsh on your compressor, often resulting in reduced lifespan and reliability. In contrast, the EasyStart Breeze employs a gradual start-up process. By slowly ramping up the voltage and current, it significantly reduces the inrush current, thereby minimizing wear and tear. This gentle approach not only protects your motor but also ensures a smoother and quieter start. The EasyStart Breeze is a more reliable and durable solution for starting air conditioners in RVs and boats. Can You Run AC with Solar Power in an RV? Yes, you can run an RV air conditioner on solar power, but it requires a well-designed system. Since AC units consume a lot of energy, you’ll need a sufficient number of high-wattage solar panels, a robust battery bank (preferably lithium), and a powerful inverter. The EasyStart Breeze™ can help reduce the AC’s startup power surge. While solar can work, factors like panel space, energy storage, and weather conditions impact reliability. For a full breakdown of requirements and potential challenges, check out our detailed guide to running an AC with solar power in an RV.
