The air passes over the evaporator coil where it cools below its dew point. Water vapor condenses on the coil and is collected in the condensate tray. The integrated condensate pump removes collected water through the drainage hose. The cooled air then passes through the condenser coil where it is reheated using recovered energy. The discharged air returns to the room approximately 2°C warmer and significantly drier. The automatic hot gas defrost system activates when required to maintain system efficiency.
