While liquid chalk does not take the place of a Hand Sanitizer, we formulated our liquid chalk to give it the best likelihood of improving hand hygiene. Our liquid chalk contains greater than 60% alcohol by volume. Liquid Chalk is not a Hand Sanitizer: The CDC recommends using alcohol-based hand rub with greater than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol to supplement handwashing.
