The blank design is also well balanced and lightweight (20% lighter than the Shadow II!) to reduce fatigue. A matte grey blank color decreases sun reflection for a more stealthy approach on the water. The versatility of the rod blank allows anglers to focus specifically on nymphing or cast dry flies during a hatch. The Shadow X is even more versatile than the Shadow II and makes time on the water hugely productive. Guides Black Thin Wire Stripping Guides - Fly rods that are nymph specific have to be lightweight.
