This very popular combination has been packaged with a Scientific Anglers Skagit Floating head or a Scientific Anglers Spey Lite Skagit head and a RIO Powerflex Ultra Shooting Line, depending on what outfit you go with. The appropriately sized Skagit head and running line is included with each package (see below for details on each package). Items included in this package Echo TR Spey Rod The Echo TR two-handed rods were designed by Tim Rajeff (TR) and were designed with a modest tip action but with extra power in the butt for throwing tight loops and bombing long casts when you need to. They handle Skagit lines and sink-tips beautifully and have a classy orange and green finish. Echo TR rods are 4-piece rods that come with a rod tube, rod sock, and Echo's Lifetime Warranty. More info. Lamson Remix HD Reel The Lamson Remix HD Reel is perfect for steelhead and salmon rivers and is superior to most reels you'll find on other Spey rod packages. Its construction is a bit of a hybrid design built with a CNC-machined reel frame and a pressure cast aluminum spool. The HD models feature a full frame reel design, which adds durability and eliminates running line jump through. It features a one-piece, large arbor spool, lightweight design, and an easy-to-adjust drag knob. The drag on the Remix reels is the same as other Lamson reels. It is a sealed drag which keeps the drag consistent even when the reel has been dunked in the river. This is an important benefit when you're relying on the perfect drag setting to set the hook when a steelhead takes your fly on the swing. More info. Scientific Anglers Skagit Floating Our Echo TR outfits in 6wt, 7wt and 8wt include the Scientific Anglers Skagit head. This a Skagit head that is tremendously easy to cast and will allow you to cast in tight quarters such as when your back is up against the trees. They bomb across the river with ease and will cast flies the size of a chicken. The head length ranges from 21.5 to 23.5 feet depending on the size included in your package. They come as just the head so we are also including a necessary running line and two sink tips to complete your line setup. More info. Scientific Anglers Spey Lite Skagit our Echo TR outfits in the 3wt and 4wt sizes include an Scientific Anglers Spey Lite Skagit head. The Spey Light Skagit is a Skagit head that is appropriate for shorter Spey rods, Single handed rods and Switch rods. It is very easy to cast and is great in tight quarters. They have become a huge hit for the people that want to bomb their shorter Spey, Single-hand or Switch rods across the river with the same ease as the traditional Spey and Skagit setup. The head length ranges from 15 to 18 feet depending on the size included in your package. They come as just the head so we are also including a necessary running line and two sink tips to complete your line setup. More info. RIO Powerflex Ultra Shooting Line RIO’s Powerflex Ultra Shooting Line is a great shooting line for Skagit and Scandi shooting heads. It feels like a traditional coated running line, but it shoots with the line speed of mono. The ultra slick coating floats high on the surface of the water to decrease drag, and maximize distance. Powerflex Ultra Shooting lines feature bulletproof welded loops on the back and front of the running line for quick rigging. More info. SA Custom Cut 7-foot and 10-foot T-7 or 10-foot and 13-foot T-10 Sink-Tips On the 3wt and 4wt Trout Spey Echo TR outfits, we're including two SA Custom Cut sink-tips made of T-9. One sink-tip is cut to 7-feet and is perfect for shallow streamer fishing. The second tip is 10-feet and is used for moderate to deep water. Each sink-tip has a welded loop on each end to easily connect the sink-tip to your Skagit head and leader. For our Echo TR outfits in the 6wt, 7wt and 8wt sizes, we're including two SA Custom Cut sink-tips made from T-12 material. One sink-tip is cut to 10-feet and is perfect for moderate to shallow steelhead lies. The second tip is 13-feet and is used for moderate to deep water. Scientific Anglers Backing Scientific Anglers' backing is very thin, highly durable and the colors are colorfast. We've been using it for years on everything from trout to billfish and haven't run into a single inconsistency. Your outfit will come with the perfect amount backing already loaded onto the reel and attached to your line. We only use the best knots to rig your setup. We use the Albright Knot with a lock then sealed with glue to connect your backing to your running line. We generally choose a backing color that contrasts your other lines. RIO Steelhead & Salmon Leader - 6-foot RIO's Steelhead and Salmon Leaders are perfectly designed for anadromous species such as steelhead and salmon. Its clear, non-glare finish disappears in all water conditions. Its knotless taper has a thicker butt section and uses a slightly stiffer copolymer for abrasion-resistance and for turning over larger flies.
