The Eclipsum UX begins with a question: what if shade could move the way light does? Designed by NG Design for Umbrosa, this cantilever parasol takes the familiar flat canopy and r econceives it as a geometric object, a disc that rotates both horizontally and vertically on a single, remarkably agile axis. The spherical form is not decorative flourish. It governs the entire logic of the piece, allowing the canopy to track the sun with a fluency that fixed or even standard rotating parasols cannot match. The result is omnidirectional coverage delivered through a silhouette that reads as sculpture before it reads as function. The frame is crafted from naturally anodized aluminum, a material chosen for its resistance to outdoor conditions and its quiet, considered finish. NG Design, a Belgium-based studio with a consistent focus on outdoor living, brings a sensibility here that holds geometric rigor and organic form in productive tension.
