Zone Imaging Eco Zonefix Plus is an eco-friendly, odourless, non-hardening, liquid concentrate rapid fixer for film and paper for 1+4 and 1+9 use respectively. It boasts very long shelf life, 67% more capacity (per 1+4 litre working solution) than the powder, compatible with soft to very hard tap water up to a hardness of 300ppm, and replenishable to suit all consumers’ needs. It is easy and convenient to use in a temperature range of 18-40°C (65-104°F) in all manual and most machine fixing applications. The 1+4 working solution is self replenishable at 50ml per roll of film (80 sq inches) or 310ml/610ml per m2 of RC and FB paper respectively.This fixer was designed for optimal fixing for film, RC, and FB papers with fast washing out times with both conventional non-staining film/paper developers and pyro/catechol based staining film developers. This fixer is ammonium thiosulphate based and free from borate derivatives, non-biodegradable DPTA and EDTA, phosphates, acetic acid, known carcinogens and mutagens to make it more friendly to the environment. By having little odour, this fixer will provide a more pleasant working environment in the darkroom. The neutral pH nature of the fixer makes film more resistant to over-fixing and fast washing out for film and paper without a need for hypo-clear; it also means an acid stop bath is not required and water stop is perfectly sufficient. By being non-hardening, this fixer allows for easier bleaching and toning when printing.The fixer has no hazards to make it very user friendly and meet standards for educational institutions.
