The Ecowitt WS3801 is a mono screen weather station and the WS3901 the colour equivalent. Both weather stations have a large 7.5" LCD display with Wi-Fi and display both indoor and outdoor conditions. These are some of the first consoles to support connection to the Ecowitt Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as the Ecowitt WFC01 and AC1100, achieving smart control through the Ecowitt App. The console connects to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for viewing uploaded data from anywhere on your phone, tablet, or computer browser, all for free when uploaded to Ecowitt.net The display has built-in temperature, humidity and barometric pressure sensors receiving readings from Ecowitt sensors on the 868MHz frequency. Included is the WS90 7-in-1 sensor array which transmits sonic wind speed & direction, haptic rainfall, UV, solar radiation, temperature and humidity to the console. The 7-in-1 sensor array also includes a solar panel to power the unit during daylight and extend the battery runtime. The WS90's unique design no longer uses the traditional tipping bucket rain gauge, but a haptic sensor which measures rainfall. The revised rainfall sensor is slightly sloped to improve accuracy and prevent rain pooling and also includes rain start detection before any measurable rain has fallen.
