Eddie Cochran - I'm Ready CD Eddie Cochran is heard here in a fascinating collection of 32 rare recordings that reveals the young rock 'n' roll pioneer as both vocalist and musician. Alongside early performances under his own name and with The Cochran Brothers, Cochran appears as a guitarist and musician on recordings involving Don Deal, Hank Hammer, Jess Willard, Jerry Capehart and others, offering a revealing glimpse of his development before his classic solo recordings. The collection is packed with unusual material, from the instrumental I'll See You In My Dreams and Cannonball Rag to the early Cochran Brothers recordings Two Blue Singing Stars and Guilty Conscience. There are also sessions with Don Deal, Hank Hammer and Jerry Capehart, plus appearances with Tom Forse and Hank Cochran. Many of these recordings make their first appearance on CD, with some issued here for the first time in any format, making this particularly interesting for Eddie Cochran collectors. With 32 rare tracks and a detailed booklet packed with photographs and liner notes, I'm Ready is much more than another collection of Cochran hits. It documents the young Eddie Cochran experimenting, performing and developing his skills across a wide range of sessions, making it an essential release for anyone fascinated by the early years of one of rock 'n' roll's great guitarists.
