As its name may suggest, Original Gin was the first ever Gin that we crafted in our old distillery and is our 'house expression'. Sea buckthorn berries are the key botanical in Original Gin. These small but mighty berries grow in harsh, salty coastal conditions and have a distinct, bright orange colour. They are tart but surprisingly sweet, and we get them from Sea Buckthorn Scotland, who practice sustainable foraging techniques in Lothian. We also use Scottish honeyberries, another unique fruit with a zesty and flavourful profile. Both of these vibrant berries are paired with Scottish fennel for an aromatic hint and we also use kombu seaweed in Original Gin as a nod to our coastal roots. Original's illustration features the striking ruins of St Andrews Cathedral, the waves of the North Sea crashing against the coastal cliffs and a selection of the unique botanicals we've picked for this crisp and refreshing London Dry Gin.
