The EDUaerium is the best way to start your algae journey! All you need is a recycled bottle, distilled water, and a pair of scissors to get started growing spirulina in your own home. Introducing the EDUaerium: AlgenAir’s hands on DIY kit that brings the power of spirulina cultivation right into your home or classroom. Designed to make the benefits of growing this superfood accessible to everyone, the EDUaerium kit is perfect for educational projects and personal use. This user-friendly kit includes 3D printable components—available as STL files for self-printing or as ordered parts—and utilizes a recycled 2-liter bottle as the cultivation vessel. Just add an aquarium pump with a 1-way valve to ensure proper aeration, and consider an optional LED light to boost spirulina growth. Enhance your experience with our optional PDF download, which includes three STEM classroom lessons designed to integrate with the EDUaerium kit, providing valuable educational content on sustainability, biology, and technology. If you choose an option that does not include a pump or LED light source, we recommend: This air pump (link) for its quiet volume and reliability and this LED light source (link) because its rechargeable, which is a nice upgrade over the standard LED which requires AAA batteries. You also may want to add an inline check valve to prevent leaks if power outages are common in your area. EDUaerium is fully compatible with AlgenAir’s aerium refill kits, available for subscription every 30, 45, or 60 days, making maintenance hassle-free. Whether you're a teacher looking to engage students in sustainable practices or a home enthusiast eager to explore the benefits of spirulina. EDUaerium offers an affordable, educational, and eco-friendly way to start. Join us in democratizing spirulina cultivation and help build a future of green, sustainable living. Please note: For our makers who choose the 3D printing route, our adapter requires a flexible component for a proper water tight seal. So please verify your printer can print flexible filament like TPU. For the optional LED light source (to increase growth rate) three AAA batteries are needed.
