Prolific author and illustrator Edward Gorey is known for bringing us a universe of memorable characters, but this one celebrates the man himself. Beyond his creative genius, Gorey was a genuine fashion icon — swathed in fur coats, with an impressive beard, signature Keds, and rings on every finger. With this limited-edition figure you can choose which he holds: his cat on cozy afternoons, sketchbook when ideas strike, or a skull when things take a dramatic turn. Arriving in an illustrated gift box with a hand-numbered collector's card, this is one to treasure. Ideal for collectors, devotees of the sprightly disturbing, and anyone who'd like the artist himself presiding over their Gorey book collection. More about the artist: Gorey’s iconic pen-and-ink shaped a world where whimsy and darkness coexist with impeccable grace. Born in Chicago in 1925, he spent much of his life in New York before retreating to a creaky Cape Cod house, surrounded by cats and curiosities. A devoted lover of animals, ballet, and the theatre, his influence endures as one of the most singular creative voices of the 20th century. Figure Size: 10.5cm tall Show more
