This elegant cosmetic vessel is made of blue-green faience and consists of two joined kohl jars modeled in the shape of stylized Nile water vases. The paired containers rise from a shared rectangular base, their balanced proportions and restrained contours reflecting the Late Period preference for symmetry and clarity of form. Such double kohl jars were used to store eye cosmetics, most commonly kohl, which played both practical and ritual roles in ancient Egyptian daily life.
