Eff-Ex® is a safe and scientifically proven solution for removing and preventing efflorescence. This unique product has a neutral pH of 7.4, making it non-acidic and much safer compared to harsh, damaging acids commonly used for this purpose. Effective for interior and exterior applications. Eff-Ex® will lightly dull the surface of polished marble, limestone, and travertine, repolishing may be needed. Eff-Ex Limitations Do not allow product to come in contact with any non-recommended surface. Not recommended for use on polished marble, limestone, and travertine surfaces. If efflorescence appears after surface is sealed, Eff-Ex® will remove the efflorescence but its ability to inhibit efflorescence is reduced. Not intended for the treatment or removal of hard water build-up and deposits. General Surface Prep To ensure optimal results, test a small, unnoticeable area following the provided application instructions. This will help determine the desired outcome. Application of Product USE CHEMICAL-RESISTANT GLOVES, such as nitrile, when handling product. To effectively remove efflorescence, carefully review the entire label before using, and avoid diluting the product. For optimal outcomes, it is recommended to first dampen the surface with water, ensuring to remove any excess water. Using a mop, sponge applicator, paint roller, or brush, apply the solution evenly. Allow the solution to sit for 30-60 minutes, avoiding any drying on the surface. If it begins to dry, apply more solution. Use a scrub brush or machine to agitate. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, using a garden hose or high-pressure washer for vertical surfaces. For post-treatment, mop or use a wet vacuum to remove any remaining dirty solution. In cases of heavy build-up, multiple applications and a longer dwell time may be needed. Wait 24 hours for the area to dry before sealing with any Aqua Mix® sealer. To prevent efflorescence, simply apply a thin layer of the solution using a mop, sponge, paint roller, or brush. Utilize a scrub brush or machine to deeply penetrate the surface. Avoid rinsing and instead, dry the remaining product with a cloth. For optimal results, multiple treatments may be necessary. Remember to wait 24 hours before applying any Aqua Mix® sealer.
