Eggbutts are suitable for horses with sensitive corners on their mouths, as they prevent them from bein g pinched which can happen with loose ring snaffles. The characteristic features of these bits are the oval rings (resp. the D-Ring side parts) which are fixed to the mouthpiece, keeping the bit steady in the mouth, enabling direct and effective impact onto the tongue.
