Incentive Create multiple painted eggs in a fabric basket. -Line-Shape-Space-Colour-Texture Supplies Art paper A4 paper with 8-10 outlines of eggs on the back (photocopied) Black crayon Paint Dark coloured fabric Scissors Craft glue Cardboard Strip Lesson 1 Place dabs of blue, green and black paint all over art paper. 2 Use cardboard strip to spread the paint around the paper, being careful not to blend colours too much. Direction of paint can be one way or crossed or random. Allow to dry. 3 Repeat this procedure on the white side of the A4 paper (not the side with egg outlines) using dabs of red and yellow paint. Allow to dry. 4 Cut a large bowl shape out of a dark fabric. Bowl should come as high as the centre of the art paper. Patterns on fabric are fine as this will look like a pattern on the bowl. 5 Cut out egg outlines and trace the coloured side of the egg in black crayon to form a dark outline for contrast. 6 Position all the eggs and bowl on art paper. When happy with artwork, glue the bowl and eggs on to the art paper. 7 Display in room on black or red background. Add Easter poems or interesting facts about the symbolism of the egg at Easter time.
