Our 1/8 Dexter Beef Share is designed exactly for you. A 1/8 share of our premium, heritage Dexter cattle yields roughly 40 to 45 pounds of custom-butchered cuts. This is the exact "sweet spot" volume that maximizes your bulk-buying savings while fitting seamlessly inside a standard kitchen refrigerator freezer compartment. No specialized storage equipment or garage upgrades required. Why Dexter Beef is Different Unlike massive commercial cattle, Dexter is a smaller, heritage Irish breed known for its outstanding grass-fed marbling, tender texture, and rich, old-world flavor. Because they grow slowly on our Pennsylvania pastures, you get a superior quality of beef that you simply cannot find in a standard supermarket aisle. What’s Inside Your Share Every 1/8 share represents a balanced, nose-to-tail micro-fraction of the whole animal. Depending on the season of your harvest, your box may contain a curated variety of cuts representing all eight primal regions: Premium Steaks: A selection of thick-cut Ribeyes, NY Strips, and Filets. Slow-Roasting Cuts: Hearty Chuck Roasts, Brisket, or London Broils for easy family meals. Everyday Staples: Lean, rich Ground Beef bricks, stew meat, and soup bones. How It Works Place Your Order: Secure your single 1/8 beef share through our secure checkout. Humane On-Farm Processing: We handle everything right here on the farm, entirely eliminating the stress of live-animal trailering to distant commercial slaughterhouses. This calm, zero-travel environment honors the animal, reduces stress, and directly ensures a tender, superior quality of beef. Local Community Pickup: Once processing is complete, we load up our delivery vehicle and bring your 1/8 share to a designated pickup location in your area. We will notify you well in advance with the exact date, time window, and location coordinates. Stock Your Freezer: Take your box home, pack your kitchen freezer, and enjoy months of premium, farm-fresh meals. Pricing by Delivery Zone & Pickup Our 1/8th beef pricing is all-inclusive based on the hanging weight—covering the cost of the beef, high-quality custom processing, and delivery to a designated pickup location (or on-farm pickup): On-Farm Pickup: $8.50 / lb Delivery to meet-up spot: $9.00 / lb Payment Terms Deposit: $150 required to secure your order. Total price is calculated on the hanging weight after harvest. Your deposit is deducted from the total price. Balance: The remaining balance is due either prior to or directly upon delivery.
