A finely carved green-glazed composition scarab, naturalistically modeled with a well-defined head, pronotum, and elytra. The base is crisply incised with two facing uraei flanking a central was sceptre, a protective combination invoking royal authority, vitality, and divine guardianship. The scarab is mounted in an oval 14K yellow gold bezel with a neatly beaded rim. The shank is a later but well-executed modern addition, designed to integrate cleanly with the original setting so the piece can be worn comfortably today. Medium: Faience, gold Dimensions: US ring size 3½ (UK=G, DE=14.5, CH=5, FR=45.5, EU=45, JP=5). Scarab length: 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) Condition: One small chip to the back of the scarab, otherwise intact.
