The “Big Clock of Stars,” as it is known, hangs on the outer wall of Sapporo Station in Hokkaido, Japan. Another clock designed by Igarashi is located on both the station’s east and west concourses. The latter serves as inspiration for his Eki Wall Clock, which is crafted by Lemnos.Since 1947, Lemnos has been dedicated to crafting clocks. This Japanese brand draws its inspiration from the Greek island of the same name, a place steeped in mythology as the abode of Hephaestus, the patron deity of artisans.
