King David: An Unauthorized BiographyKing David: An Unauthorized Biography by Samuel Pagán, is intended to explore the complexities of David?s life, his aspirations, projects and triumphs, along with his defeats, anxieties, and sins. This book does not attempt to present a godly and devoted David: the truth is that King David whose actions are set forth in the Bible was not only a "sweet singer," but he was a man full of conflicts, contradictions, uncertainties, and complications. Perhaps those are the reasons why this character is so fascinating and engaging. It is possible that one of the explanations why we are so drawn to David is that we discover that all human beings have a difficult side and that we are full of contradictions and conflicts. That is the reason why people relate to complex characters like David. In this book you will find:The biography of King David.Exegetical and hermeneutical investigations with generous literary clarity.Data on the history and culture of the Hebrew people.Analysis of the biblical narratives related to David.
