This is one of the most tenacious scents in the Boadicea the Victorious portfolio. Labdanum reigns supreme in Elaborate, the product of sticky rockrose, whose oils can be highly vo latile, sometimes spontaneously combusting in the heat. Essentially a leathered green musk, it is the aromatic equivalent of throwing malachite into a black night lake. Intriguingly Elaborate has no top notes, plunging straight into a maelstrom of animalic musks and oud, spiked through with terpenic pine needles, invading the senses with a ritualistic sensuality. Elaborate smells of assignation. The metallic tremors of it growl, and in a mossy shadowed pine forest, animal trails and hints of smoky weather rise and fall. Oud is also a key note, tempered by the ghostly saline wash of an ambergris accord. Elaborate is a sensational powerhouse of a perfume and will intoxicate you. Show more
