Elastic is a print magazine of psychedelic art and literature, which is to say that we publish visual artwork and writing that bends time and genre and perspective, blurs waking and dreaming life, magnifies the senses, multiplies and distorts the possibilities of narrative, and otherwise breaks form. The first psychedelic era was a period of radical artistic innovation and yet, in the popular imagination, "psychedelia" conjures little more than Day-Glo mandalas and contorted mushrooms. These pages conjure a truly expansive vision of psychedelic culture, bringing together a vast, diverse body of contemporary psychedelic work and paying tribute to an overlooked archive.
