A shrimp boat at the dock with a storm crawling overhead.Two things happened at once here, and that is the whole picture. Along the horizon behind the treeline the sunset was still going, in a hard red band. Above it the lightning was running sideways across the underside of the cloud, branching out over most of the sky in white. In between, the boat sits at the dock with its rigging up and its nets hanging, one bright light on the wheelhouse throwing a starburst.Red low, white high, purple everywhere between.
