Wellgard Electromight Intense is a high-strength, sugar-free electrolyte powder in single-serve crisp apple sachets, made for the days that ask more of your hydration, from long training sessions to hot weather and heavy sweating. It goes beyond electrolytes alone: each sachet also brings iron, zinc and B vitamins, so one morning drink covers ground that might otherwise take several separate supplements. Each 15g sachet provides a high level of the four key electrolytes: 1957mg sodium, 492mg potassium, 205mg magnesium and 183.3mg calcium. The sodium is delivered as a blend of sodium citrate, sodium chloride and sodium carbonate, which is what lets a dose this high taste like a clean, crisp apple drink rather than a harsh salty one. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The stand-out addition for an electrolyte drink is iron. Each sachet contains 2.1mg of iron as ferrous gluconate together with 80mg of vitamin C. Iron contributes to normal oxygen transport in the body and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and since vitamin C increases iron absorption, the two make a natural pairing. Vitamin C also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Each serving adds 2.5mg of zinc as zinc citrate, which contributes to normal function of the immune system and to normal cognitive function, plus 63 micrograms of vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, an active form of B12, along with vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. There is no added sugar and no artificial colours. The crisp apple flavour is sweetened with sucralose, and the colour comes from turmeric and spirulina.
