The Electronic Rat Killer uses a baited internal chamber to attract rodents into the trap. Choosing an Electronic Rat Trap When choosing a trap, consider where it will be placed, how it is powered and how you will monitor and empty it. We recommend always checking the switch is fully off before opening the trap. Open the cover and place a tiny amount of bait at the very back of the chamber using a cotton bud, spoon, or similar tool — never place bait with bare hands. Use a small amount only. A pea-sized amount is enough. Popular bait options include peanut butter, hazelnut spread, small pieces of processed meat, or dried fruit. Close the cover securely and switch the trap ON. Place the trap in a rodent pathway, such as along walls, in corners, garages, pantries, sheds, or other indoor areas where rodent activity has been noticed.
