Dimensions: 12x12inches Mixed media on canvas There is nothing more free than you and a little boat, at sea, disconnected from the cares of this life, but connected to the world an d to nature. I’m not sure why I feel drawn to paint the sea, I have never been alone on a boat, I did not grow up fishing, or even near the water. But…having felt the Greek sea on my feet, the exhilaration of the first plunge of the summer, the saltwater in my hair, drying on my skin, and humbled by the thought that the sea has existed longer than humanity, I can only imagine that this is what true freedom feels like.
